I have a great lineup except for my lol kicker . Prolly costing me a few hundred or more

awful week for me after two straight crushes. everyone who went watson + elite RBs dominated us who went brady + cook/carson/mixon types

I have a Monday-Thursday Fanduel lineup where I had Smith/Hunt/Kelce and am in pretty good shape going into Thursdays Patriots-Bucs game.

Basically I need to choose 2 receivers for the Thursday night game, where basically one can be from the top group (Evans, Cooks, Hogan, Jackson, Amendola) and one from the rest, with the caveat I can start 2 of Hogan, Amendola, Jackson if I want.

2 options I thought of were Hogan/Amendola and Cooks/Humphries.

Anyone have any thoughts on which receivers I should go with or a different combo?

anyone playing less on DK since they increased their rake on some GPPs? (the Chrome extension mentioned here is pretty nice).

Also don't like that they removed the SNF game from the main slate.

I would guess if you are a completely amateur player (which I admit I am) it might actually be a little better to have the rake high enough to drive off the pros. If you are a -EV player anyways raising the rake might actually be beneficial to you because of this.

This question is very tough to answer without a lot more information.

How many are in the tournament? What is the payout? Do you have multiple line ups with this start?

Is it a GPP or double up/cash? Are you trying to hit a decent pay or gamble it up in a way that gets your lineup unique and gives you a small chance to win a lot?

I don't play on fan duel but don't they have a flex spot? Why does it need to be 2 WRs? Do you already have Gronk in your flex? How many others have the same start as you do?

I can't really answer most of those questions because I am an admitted DFS Donk. Fan duel has no flex. I have a few lineups but this is the most promising one going forward. I just wanted to see if anyone had an informed opinion what WRs might be in a good or bad spot due to matchup. This is a tourney.

I guess your comment I might want to go unique and try to hit the jackpot makes sense. I guess that would be an argument for putting in Humphries.

I like Amendola - and more w/o Gronk - paired with a TB player.I guess you're saying you can't go Evans/Amendola, I think I'd go Jackson/Amendola.

I took amendola and hogan. And I have Martin. I am crushing. The lineup in the lead at halftime is pretty much the same as mine except they have KC D and I have NE and they have Prior and I have Hill. So there is a world where the last play of the KC game could cost me the tourney.

Thanks. Made a little $$ but didn't pan out. The winning lineup had 1 Wr, the kicker and D different than me and that was the difference.

I had Tampa +5 too.

I had Tampa ml Tampa +5 and a sweat with white hogan folk and Tampa d lol. That could not have ended worse for me

draftkings has bare minimum rewards, high rake, and seems much tougher imo

I hate the DK 100 yard bonuses and dislike PPR compared to half PPR. But FD has a kicker ...

I think the tighter pricing on DK might drive away some casuals. I find it quite difficult to make a DK lineup compared to FD, so I imagine it must be very tough for some of the casual players.

I did a $33 entry GPP on FD for the Th - Mon slate, and I would say about 50% of entries had at least 3 players from last night's game and only about 40/280 had no players at all. I entered one "no Thurs" entry, would have done more if I knew these numbers.

DFS is basically dead and the big sites are all making money grabs now instead of focusing on long term

Given the main game slate and the Monday night game I think it is pretty reasonable that this week most full slate players would have multiple players from this game.

last nights game was the highest over/under of the week so it makes sense people played a lot from it

the thursday game is always over-represented just because people want a little action early. most of the time it stinks so fading is generally a good play

yes - I always fade TNF players, this week it was a must.

of course if the game had gone by the vegas line, I'd be looking for some long shot plays now.

Yeah. The football seems pretty bad right now. I still do a couple lineups a week, but between the high rake and the fact that between the byes and most of the good games being off the main slate, most of the games in the main slate are low scoring and bad, hard to get into it too much.

I have been doing NBA and it is actually pretty fun. If you just do it for fun you can get a lot of mileage of entertainment just doing a couple lineups/day for the daily tourneys.

I'm really new to DFS football, so forgive me if my questions seem super newb. I just had some general questions about playing that hopefully some vets can answer.

1 - I've heard that DFS is alot like poker where 20% of the guys are making 80% of the money. How are these guys doing it? Is it just because they have more information and better decision tools/models than the general public? Does this come from the pay information sites?

2 - I heard this conspiracy theory, but not sure how true it is. But is it possible these DFS podcasts on YouTube give the fans 'misleading' recommendations? I don't see how if these guys make a living off the picks they are making, that they would just want to hand those out for free on YouTube.

3 - what is the effect of entering multi-entry contests vs a single entry? Is it that you are up against mulitple lineups submitted by sharks which decreases your chances to win? Is that much different than being in single entry contests?

4 - is there a website or resource that a new player can refer to to get caught up and understand the game/industry? Just a website that would be a good strategy guide of sorts.
