as far as playoffs go, 6 teams.

i'm toying with the idea of payouts and playoff format. i think h2h is rather stupid and like total points more

Option 1) h2h, include points in payout.
800/300/100, total points gets 200

Option 2) total points determines top 6.
900/400/100

i vote for option 2 but want to hear additional thoughts as well.

I’ve heard of an interesting idea. Each week everyone plays two “games”—one is a standard h2h matchup and the other is based on total points: each week the top half of the league in points gets a win, the bottom half gets a loss (regardless of opponent). This balances between the h2h and the points scored.

Yeah, it's a variation of victory points. It has been around for a long time. I first played in a league with that format 20 yrs ago.

I’ve never played with it, but it’s a better option than straight points imo. I’ll go along with any format though.

Option 1 or something like gs mentioned in a later post. Not a fan of pure points leagues as it takes out the fun of a h2h sweat
