yes this is true, that's why i would definitely focus on trying to make the best decisions on the river rather than figuring out a mathematical way to play rivers , I really didn't mean for the discussion to get out of hand. I just meant to play GTO math poker on the river is not going to win you money. Try and guess right more often. if that means folding more often because you are a station then do it.

this is kind of a good thread because i really believe you can win all streets except the river with math, it might actually hurt you to try and play strictly the math OTR

Clearly, you should stop calling river bets until you figure out what your hole is.

You're probably beat earlier and hanging on longer than necessary or calling missed draws.

You're probably also not respecting nitrocks' action enough.

I just read this thread and had a laugh. I have a suspicion that purple is a troll


OP if your call river effectiveness is over 1 then you're doing fine with river calls. The stat you looked at likely didn't take into account the pot before the river bet? That's really the only thing that makes sense, RCE is the stat that matters and slightly over 1 is the sweet spot
