I would also be curious to know how you would prevent chip dumping and the like without playing heads up?

Also Bob I am in for the 3 card brag tournament.

I think it's called 3 card guts where I am from. I have only played it up to 3 handed I think. Would be interesting 6+ haha.

Chip dumping, there's another issue... Wouldn't be much of a problem in some kind of seeded competition.

Hey Sklansky, to solve all these problems you could arrange some kind of official game with 2+2... We know you're reading this, stop hiding man. Grow a pair! I promise we will make the clock go down really slowly for you, we'll use good software so you can make the cards really big and clear too. You wont even have to take your slippers off mate.

After googling brag and guts may be slightly different but almost identical.

Right but as you pointed out before 1 tournament is practically meaningless to determine a winner and would be dominated by chance and not skill.

Tldr.

It's less about people thinking what you say is wrong and more about how you say it.

Your overall tone and personality puts me off as well.

Some of what you post is 100% correct, but often times I feel as though your view is quite narrow. You're very difficult to have a conversation with.

Pissing contest is a waste of everyone's time.

Its not too long to read. This thread is pretty short. You're just trying to be obnoxious whilst blaming me for that same sort of thing. Standard.

My viewpoint isn't narrow... I am not difficult to have a conversation with... I didn't ask for a pissing contest. I'm always 100% correct. And this will be worthwhile for anybody who wants to learn from this site. They will realise that people like you should be ignored.

Don't mistake my defending myself with me being the aggressor. What am I supposed to say to a post like that??? Take up the challenge or don't. I win either way.

I'd be willing to be a part of the challenge for the lulz/something different on the forum but I have the same issues as Lego in regards to jurisdiction issues.

Here is a question.

During a hand of poker, where is all the profit?

Then you have to say “why” it is so.

Therein lies the unity.

Lol it cracks me up seeing that china man stroke his beard every time you make a post.

You in Rob? You're a regular poster on the theory pages nowadays. It'll be awesome to have all the Poker Theorists on 2+2 settling their differences over a game of cards.

Actually I think it'll raise questions more than solve anything.

Having just done 25,000 hands of micro zoom, I can tell you that there is LOT of variance. (I ran 4bb/100 below my EV winrate, and there were all kinds of weird quirks of variance in the results, such as getting KK 30 times less than AA, and QTs and 54s being in my top 7 most profitable hands).
What kind of winrate do you think you could achieve at 2NL zoom on Stars?

Re: Who is the Real King!? (or Queen)

There will be plenty of variance for you I'm sure....

I wouldn't play zoom, sucks for exploitive players. However, I did have a little raz in the normal 2c games a few months back for research purposes. I just checked my HM and I took 35bbs over 7k hands. Obviously is some variance in there. Over a good sample I'd probably take 50

Edit: TBH I have no idea how much I'd make. I'll never get much of a sample there so I'll never be able to tell you.

Re: Who is the Real King!? (or Queen)

Very strange how GTO is not the best but a ton of games can't be beaten by exploitive players (hu, zoom, etc).

Edit: sorry I mean where exploitive players have some sort of disadvantage.

This, but it's nicer than I would have put it. I don't know why anyone reads his posts anymore; I don't. If there's a drop of gold in all of his egotistical crap I'll never see it.

It's pretty obvious he's a troll. Just ignore him until he goes away or starts behaving reasonably. If he weren't a troll he wouldn't say crap like "I'm always 100% right."

Its not that we have a disadvantage, its just that our advantages shrink. I would still beat those games and for far more money than a GTO player would, but, I would make even more money playing other versions of the game.

Trolls calling me a troll again eh... Lol good logic mate, "That guy says he never makes any mistakes, he must be a troll". You're an idiot. (To be completely honest I have made 2 mistakes since I've been advising players on here, maybe 3. I was taking artistic licence).

You suggested playing penny games and then refused to play certain styles of games, openly admitting you're disadvantaged compared to GTO players in heads up games. That doesn't seem to be about making more money to me...

You really need to start using your brain. I shouldn't be explaining all these little things.

Grinding. Earlier in the thread we already established that exploitation is better in HU games because you can exploit the opponent by yourself. However, against one single GTO player, the exploitative player is forced to go as close to GTO as the GTO player, which sucks the potential profit away from them. I would be forced to play closer to GTO than you, which, if you are any good, would end up just being a test of who plays GTO better.

To be honest, I do think I can play GTO better than any of you guys using purely exploitative logic, and so I wouldn't be too much against it. However, I didn't make this thread so that we can see who is the better GTO player! I didn't make it to see who is the better HU player! I want to see who is the best overall player. And I want to white wash you all. I don't want you to take away all my advantages before the game even begins.
