Some guy started to berrate me the other night because I was playing 1/2 nl live and I turned $200 into 1k. so I picked up ate and hung out for a while. bought back in for $200 . what's wrong with old angry nits getting mad because I won. what a jealous loser.

It's bad etiquette to rathole in a live environment. If you have to ask then you'll never know. At least have the decency to play at another table.

Yes bad etiquette and potentially against the rules depending upon your poker room. You shouldn't be going back to the same table. I would be pissed as well.

At my poker room you have to be out of the game for at least an hour to buy back in for less money than you took off the table to eat your lunch. The floor is going to be very liberal with that hour because the floor is going to side with the table if you are back at the same table. There's a guy who's notorious for trying this move. The floor will not let him get back on the list until the full hour has been up because they know he's doing this. So not only does he sit out the whole hour but then he's got list time on top of it could be 2-3 hours out of the game...

Ultimately, don't be a nit. This is about the nittiest thing you can do. Just call it a day, log a win, and leave instead. Cya tomorrow...

well I'm minimizing variance. I don't wanna win with aces for 200 then lose for 1k because I decided to stay deep.
