Hello.
There has been a 5-10 nl game running daily at my casino.
I am slightly under rolled to play, it looks very good some nights though.

The buy in is 500-2500.

I have been thinking about min buying it. I never short stacked before but have heard that it can be higher EV than buying in deep some cases.

I’m thinking it could be a good spot to do it, since buying in for the full $2500 is a bit much right now, it will help with that. And I think people are going to be opening too wide for too big sizing and getting too many flat calls, I could punish them by playing an aggressive short stack.

Jw if this is a good idea, or just better to grind 2/5 till ready to buy in full or atleast 100bbs.

And if you guys know of any good resources (training sites, YT vids etc) on how to play short stack in deep cash game it would be appreciated.

Thanks

seems reasonable, but jamming preflop with the short stack because people are too wide while probably +EV is still kinda high variance I'd imagine

Hey!
I agree it would be high variance, but less variance than buying in deep, right?

Any tips on how to learn a 50bb preflop strat in a deep cash game?
I don’t think there is much content on this strategy available online.
I guess doing/buying preflop sims is the best way to learn?

Thanks
