Is rake heavier in cash games or tournaments ? Is rake heavier in cash games or tournaments ?

Hi, there. My first post here on 2+2

Many people say that the rake in cash games is a heavy burden as the site takes this comission per hand, and in tournaments buy-ins are raked only once.

Somebody that knows the math behind it?

You could compare rake per hand.

For example, my $100 Heads-up Hyper Sit & Go averages 13 hands/game. At $2 rake, that's 15c/hand.

I have a small sample at 100 HU Cash and I'm paying approximately 15c/hand as well.

Because many players play multiple tables, I would think rake per hour (or some other time unit) would be a more meaningful measure.
