we all know that pokersnowie plays tight preflop compare to most range ppl use . I was excited about the fact they release the ante games since my main game always involves antes.
I was trying out a few hands hu on snowie with 1/2 ante 1 and it looks like the preflop strategy snowie use is very questionable.
First hand I had 84o facing a min raise on the bb and it told me to fold. I would expect to play all hands against a min raise given such a ridiculous ante. I thought maybe I was wrong until it told me to fold a4o in the same position.



I checked into the preflop range and actually it folds about 58 percent against a min raise getting 5 to 1 on a call. Best hand snowie folds is a9o. This is apparently counter intuitive and with this folding frequency button should not fold any hand since it's auto profiting. However button opens arround 92percent which means there is for sure significant leaks in at least one of snowie's preflop strategy.

84o isn't that outrageous of a fold even getting that price. It's just very difficult to realize your equity with that type of hand OOP. 58% folding range is very clearly wrong and almost certainly a bug introduced by the ante feature.

Also, consider that snowie isn't programmed with solid/winning strategy to start. So, it may "learn" as it goes that folding so frequently in an ante game isn't +EV. I'm not defending snowie. I don't know if I like it or not some of it's reccomendations strike me as counterproductive. But it also seems like a decent tool if we accept it for what it is.

Snowie's suggested sizing preflop is to raise to 2.5bb not 2bb . Against that size raise it defends a far more reasonable range

So yeh Id guess this is "correct" and against the 2bb minraise it is a software bug and reading the sizes wrongly
