- If people are under-3betting, are we supposed to increase our opening size as we are not getting punished as much or should it not change?

My questions apply to 6max cash at micros if anyone wants to answer them
- I play fr and tend to use snowie’s ranges. It opens 1/2 pot (about 2.3/2.4) all the way from utg to hj, then pot (3.5 co and btn, 3 sb). Idk the exact explanation but I guess the smaller sizings reduce a little bit the need to defend + reduces the incentive for others to 3b you since the reward is smaller.
From steal positions you’re trying to win preflop (no rake). Tighter ranges.
- Yes. You want to win more preflop, and have a stronger range.
- It depends. Are they folding a lot? If yes, open more hands for a smaller sizing. If not, and they are calling too much, I guess you should open bigger to get more value.
- In games with smaller edges (everything above 2nl), you should look to exploit every possible edge, including preflop sizings.
Cheers
