I'm looking to open my game up a little. I cash fairly often in small live tournaments but I reach the final table short and the blinds move very fast. I'm looking to widen my raise calling ranges for the opportunity to build my stack.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of published list of calling ranges under different conditions. For example raise calling ranges from the BB or SB or weak hands that play well in multi way pots in lat psn. Shove calling ranges in tournaments VS the short stack.
I'm also interested in reading a discussion of the math involved in said hands.

Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

I don't think ranges are going to help you with this particular problem.

I think you need to start looking for opportunities to accumulate chips and in some instances identify those opportunities regardless of your holding.

I'd have to agree with just_grindin on this one. If you are consistently finding yourself short at the final tables and have a high itm rate but lower roi you are most likely missing opportunities along the way to gather a stack. If I had to take a guess I'd say the most likely source of the error would be in the middle stages of the tournament. Finding these missed spots and taking advantage of them will most likely lead to a lower ITM but higher ROI

What I've been thinking is that I've missed calling opportunities and I'm thinking this is happening in multi way pots. All the donk at foxwoods will limp call big raise super wide. I hesitate to get into these pots but they can be quite large. I just don't know how to play 6 way pots to the river but I wonder if i should get involved.

So what I've been considering is making positional raises light an Cbet 100% to see if I can gather chips. I'm pretty good at hand reading opponents. I've also entertained the idea of calling multi way raised pots lighter not because I feel I have a natural advantage but mainly because this is largely unexplored territory for me.

I think the raising/cbetting strategy makes sense. Not sure about the multiway pots necessarily. If you can enter them from the button it might work out. Another option is to raise limpers/isolate weak opponents. I would also add defending blinds would probably be something to study.
