When there's a ridiculously large stack at the table, I like to joke and say that poker is defying the 2nd law of thermodynamics and that entropy must increase by dissipating the chips into the other stacks.
Of course, that's nonsense.

There's a certain intangible amount of information hiding in the modern game, but it's not because some fancy words that someone used to apply to poker tell us which action to take. It's all about ev maximization. If a play hides information, but leaks ev, then it's just bad poker.
