Information theoretic strategy, analysis, etc.? Information theoretic strategy, analysis, etc.?

I am looking for a book, article, blog post, etc. discussing something I haven't seen, but I'm sure exists, which is information theoretic-inspired strategies, hand analysis, etc.

For example, an older guy at the live games I usually play, is generally pretty tight, however when he lands a top pair on a dry board tends to exploit it with multiple bullets, even against many people. However, if he has e.g. AA on a very wet flop, he tends to get flustered and fold too often. So, you can say that he is intimidated by the entropy of his Villains' ranges.

Another example, when I "polarize" my hand, my opponents are less uncertain about what I have. I can also state that I *lowered the entropy of my perceived range*.

Are there any materials along this line of thought?

If you mean entropy=unpredictable then there is plenty to read out there.

If you further mean that entropy=unpredictable=balanced=unexploitable then that is just GTO.

Entropy is not a word used in poker strategy or theory, that I have read. You will get more helpful responses if you define this term and the way you use it, and then start using an equal term from established theory.

When there's a ridiculously large stack at the table, I like to joke and say that poker is defying the 2nd law of thermodynamics and that entropy must increase by dissipating the chips into the other stacks.

Of course, that's nonsense.

More on topic:

There's a certain intangible amount of information hiding in the modern game, but it's not because some fancy words that someone used to apply to poker tell us which action to take. It's all about ev maximization. If a play hides information, but leaks ev, then it's just bad poker.

I don't know where you learned all those poker buzz words, but what you're asking doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Are you just learning poker? There are lots of books to get you started. Deeper theoretical study comes later.
