How exact are the pros with their range?

Do they know their entire range when they make any decision? Or is it more of a "cross that bridge when you get to it" kind of thing and they only start thinking about their range when the decision isn't straight forward anymore. Sort of a "this is one of the best bluffing/calling hands since I block/unblock X". Further, do they know every combination in their range? It seems difficult to synthesise playing your hand with playing your range. I feel like every spot is so complex in which combinations you should choose for your range; if you play this hand a particular way, all of a sudden you need these combinations to balance that out, but then you're missing combinations in other places, so you have to make sure to find combinations to add to those ranges. So it just seems that when you play your range, you have to understand the absolute entirety of it. Which I can't do btw, so I'd appreciate some pointers on that too lol.
Yet when I saw Limitles play Fedor HU on that stream, it seemed like he played his hand more than his range, the decisions were just so fast and flowing. I can't comprehend how he could perceive HUNDREDS of combinations on the fop for example - make hundreds of decisions in a single decision.
Perhaps this "you have to think about your entire range" dogma is rough advise to resort to on occasion, rather than a pure modus operandi? I don't know, I've just started playing poker and wrapping my head around my entire range just seems impossible. I can only do occasional heuristic stuff like "If I don't call this, what do I call at all".
Thank you for any input guys

your intuition and memory just becomes better and better over time. It's not like we're squishing our brains every second to try to think about ranges actively, but at some point you can't help but think about ranges.
Villains range is far more important than your range.
