$1-$2 Live No-Limit Cash Game.
I have been told that the highest win rate for a good player at this level is around $20 per hour.
But I've always wondered ...
If Phil Ivey were to play at this level for a year, what do you suppose his hourly win rate would be?
What is your theory?

Thoughts?

If deep stacked with lots of drunk fish probably between 35 and 50 per hour.

I'm guessing around $40 an hour.

What about live 5/10? This exact topic came up in the LLSNL winrates thread. I said that if stacks were deep (at least 200BB max BI, hopefully more like 300BB max BI where most players buy in full), and if Phil Ivey took some time to adjust and really tried to play his A game (versus simply gambling/having fun), that he could easily do better than 14BB/hour in most games - somebody else took the under.

There should be data out there on this kind of thing. Some of the top pros occasionally play at much lower levels for various reasons:

"In this 5-hour video series, Jonathan Little reviews an $11 buy-in tournament where he came in 2nd place out of 17,055 entrants and cashed for $14,496.75."

It's always nice to win over a thousand buy-ins.

EDIT: Whoops, I took out the link to the quoted information because it's dead. I remembered the $11 tournament and found it with a Google search.

The winrates posted for live games look riduculous when comparing them to online winrates, that also look ridiculous.

With the same talent and experience, the winrates would be the same. You could argue that the lesser talent and experience might still be able to get all there is to take.
