I am trying to get a rudimentary understanding of how a flop range advantage/disadvantage should affect hero's actions in 6MX PLO.

I understand what boards favor the range of various positions, and pre flop bettors/callers but I do not understand how to proceed on the flop with this information.

When a board favors hero's range based on position/preflop-action does this mean hero should err towards betting, and if the board favors villains range hero should err towards check call-fold-raise? Or should the biggest consideration be hero's actual connection to the board/hand-strength.

Here is a basic example:

-hero defends the BB from an open in the CO with JJ79 double suited, going HU to the flop, the flop comes 2 4 5 rainbow. This flop should tend to favor hero's range, does this mean that hero should consider leading small? Check call/raise/fold?

Any and all help appreciated, +EVillain

Aways passive action when oop and cant make pot big, super aggro pre IP when deep esp. Tough/floaty/bluffy IP. PLO is all about position, blockers and how to play a multitude of textures ip and oop in srp and 3bp. When OOP, its also important to have leading ranges after x/c flop on board changing turns/rivers, this works well to get paid in spots they would xb value, and as bluff when you were behind(turning pair into bluff) etc. Generally tight oop tough IP tho. Another common mistake is always 3bing aces, I am NL reg, so I havent had time to set my pf 3b ranges yet so I typically flat everything oop(unless i can make pot huge) and flat/3b continue hands IP.

Being OOP, esp deep in PLO vs a good opponent is a nightmare, be that nightmare. When good deep regs are behing you, I suggest min raising so they cant abuse you as much with 3b's.

This was all assuming reg vs reg.
