HI

Many people advise me that I should 3OP OOP 4 times.
But then I'm not able to bluff postflop (in my opinion) bluffing well because I have to bet with low sizes.

Is it a standard game or postflop should I play it differently? My main problem is that due to low sizes I won't get many folds mainly on the river.

UTG: $36.80 (147.2 bb)
CO: $28.45 (113.8 bb)
BTN: $32.17 (128.7 bb)
Hero (SB): $25 (100 bb)
BB: $15.82 (63.3 bb)

Hero posts SB $0.10, BB posts $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has A-A
UTG raises to $0.75, 2 folds, Hero raises to $3, fold, UTG calls $2.25

Flop: ($12.75, 2 players) 7 5 T
Hero bets $3.20 , Utg calls $3.20

Turn: ($12.75, 2 players) 5
Hero bets $6.30 , Utg calls $6.30

River: ($25.35, 2 players) 2
Hero bets $12.50 , Utg calls $12.50

Thanks!

There's absolutely no problem with bluffing smaller sizes. of course you will get less folds, but you risk less money to bluff too.

Why is not getting many folds a problem? I think this post belongs on BQ tbh

Keep in mind when you bet 1/4 pot, you only need them to fold 1/5 of the time for a profitable bluff. It's really not hard to get the right fold equity, it just plays different than you're used to.

To generalize Tombos’ result, here is the EV math:

EV for a bet of Bet with card equity = eq and fold equity = fe and no raise:

EV = fe*Pot +(1-fe)*(eq*(Pot + Bet)-(1-eq)*Bet)

For the bluff bet with eq = 0,

EV = fe*Pot + (1-fe)(-Bet)

Set EV to 0 for break even and solve for fe

fe = Bet/(Pot+Bet) (this is the equation to use for other bet and pot amounts with the same assumptions)

For Bet = ¼*Pot

fe = (1/4)*Pot/((5/4)*Pot) = 1/5 = 20%
