I apologize in advance as I am not sure if this is the best place for this discussion.
Poker has been good to me for the most part. It's a great supplemental income. FWIW I play full ring. I was a decent win rate reg on Full Tilt and Stars up to 200nl during the golden age of the late 2000s. It was my full time job and things were great. Now that I am older and have a career, I play mostly on 50nl tables now, as I do not enjoy the higher stress levels associated with higher stakes. It's my free time hobby and that's about it.
That being said, I hear a lot about the games "changing" and players strategy being "stuck in the past" (late 2000s). I am noticing more reggy type players. Is this the change players are referring to? From what I can tell, lines that players take are a little looser, people float more often, ect. From my point of view its still the same game.
I would greatly appreciate it if folks could take the time and comment. What are the general changes and general strategy differences there are in today's internet poker world? Is there some untapped poker resource or instruction site that is the new Card Runners or something? I feel as if I am missing some key information. I am currently in a slump. To me this is the best time to evaluate my game and I want to avoid stubbornness. I do not want to be stuck in the past as I have read from various posts the last few months.
Thanks in advance.

There is more knowledge on what is optimal.
Solvers exist, many competing training sites exist too.
As the regs get better, the worst fish also become less keen to deposit as they get less playing time for their cash.
