Hey guys. Was wondering what does optimal poker actually look like. I remember a couple years back, was looking at some of the 6 max tables on ACR, and I noticed almost every pot would almost always have bets on multiple streets. Looking at that, it's pretty enlightening to see how much, or how often you need to be playing so that you're not overfolding, realizing equity, and pretty much all the things that you get from not playing passively.

I know that overall cbet % has gone down, I think. Am wondering. Are there certain styles that you can play, that are considered "optimal" ? I know that some players have different tendencies, but what does, or should the game actually look like ?

Does high stakes get this quite accurately ? Are they ever just "getting it in" every single hand ?

Virtually every single human player bets too often relative to optimal frequencies and is too weak in every check node.

Most human players also dont bluff nearly enough.

This is really interesting. Thanks for the responses.

These are somewhat contradicting, as well. I guess maybe in plenty of spots they might be underbluffing ?

No one knows how the game should look like because we don't have the computational power to find out. Functionally, we can get to see a pretty close model of optimal play.

Obviously no one can explain it to you in one post, and it takes years of learning
