i know it must have something to do with blockers but IP doesnt have many 3s in their range

Scenario
UTG RFI UTG+1 calls
flop 422 2 tone

OOP checks IP bets 35% pot

Now OOP actually folds 45.2% ofg its range at equilibrium but is raising every combo of A3

im using GTO wizard for preflop ranges and the only combos of 3s IP has is A3 and 33

A3 is a gutshot

sure a 5 would make a str8 but doesthat really make that big of a difference ? I mean i guess it does as solver is raising 100%

I've always assumed we should be more passive with our draws on paired flops. Is that a flawed assumption?

Probably because it is a pretty weak draw you are turning into a bluff and are fine to fold to a raise, etc.

No one ever thinks you have a 3.

does OOP not having any oesds or many draws at all have anything will solver wanting to be extra aggro with gutshots ?

Tough to answer without having your exact setup for this sim. My guesses :

- Does A5s 3bet at large frequency preflop? If so then no A5s available to raise as a gutshot bluff => We need more A3s.
- A3s blocks 33 which could be chosen by the solver as a check IP or as a bet/3bet which the solver doesn't want to face. Remember that the solver is omniscient, if IP 3bet bluff with a certain hand, OOP will want to check raise with this hand's blocker to avoid being bluffed out of its equity. The same way GTOWizard actually likes to battle a lot preflop with K5s in some 3bet spots because it blocks A5s which is the most likely hand to get back at us by 4bet bluffing. Blocking A5s means more A3s that doesn't want to 4bet bluff and is simply going to fold => Maybe something similar in this case?
