What is a pivot point? What is a pivot point?

Google's answers are unsatisfactory, so is anyone up to giving me a more comprehensive explanation?

It might help if you could give a little context. Where did you hear it?

In blackjack unbalanced running count systems it is the only point where the count gives the correct or practically correct true count, based on the number of decks and some exact running count.

In poker it might be like an open raise situation on the button or so as hand values are relative. A point count system or just statistics, ev.

2% per out is a running count that is practically accurate on any street in holdem at least.

When I hear people on 2+2 saying pivot it's usually a synonym for a point where one goes in a new direction/changes directions.

At this point, you have launched and have been running for a week or two. Decide if the idea is viable. If it isn't, pivot or change ideas. if it is, are you going to run it as a small business or a startup?
