Very Simple 2-7 Triple Draw Variant Very Simple 2-7 Triple Draw Variant

I wonder what people think of this simple variant of 2-7TD I played with friends before. FWIW, I dont think it would be technically still poker, as there is no betting between streets. You would just play a fixed number of hands and tally points (could bet on that I suppose).

Game is simple. To start, you MUST always have an odd number of players. Tt is 2-7TD, three streets drawn. Everyone player plays every street and goes to showdown, no folding or betting. However, the only difference is at showdown, the middle strength hand wins. So if you have 2 pair, I have 1 pair and the third player has high card, I win that hand.

Thoughts?

It makes the game weird and challenging because hand strength becomes relative.

The mechanic of middle hand wins is interesting, but you need some kind of human decision-making for the game to be interesting.

Here's a similar game. We all get dealt a number from 1 to 10. The middle number wins. That's cool and all, but why bother playing? All three players could leave the table and have the dealer just deal cards until someone gets all the money.
