If you're in a hypothetical satellite, 2get paid, and you have AA, and someone open rips 50bigs and you have 70, and the SB has 2.5bb and folds, it's technically a fold, right??

And what if you know the 2.5bb stack and are staking them

What is ethical?

Mathematically it's a call cause you have a piece of the 2.5bb stack

But the open ripper isn't in the know that you are staking

?

If you change your strategy to accommodate secret deals with other players at the table, that's flat-out collusion. It doesn't even matter if you don't intend to act unethically, you'd still have a duty to reveal those deals beforehand.

What you're describing is so far past the line that you can't even see the line! The line is a dot to you!

You should treat that hand as if you were not staking that player and play it as if you were playing against any other player. It's probably best to avoid playing in tournaments with players that you're staking.
