So doing pretty decent live even though the rake at my 1-1 game is ridiculous along with a monstrous 20 euro cap. Would like to move to the 2-5 game when rake is less than half. Online I ran into a roadblock at 10nl when I am losing but only played 28K hands but there are for sure a handful of players better than me.

So I just bought GTO+ to help me push to the next level in live and online. What is the best way to start using it? Should I look at my database and find the biggest leaks and work from there? Or should I go over more standard topics like how to C-bet diffirent flop textures and turns? Then maybe focus on bvb or how to approach flops in 3! pots?

Run a subset for the most common spots and then delve into
Sizing
Range asymmetry nuances
River bluffs
Bluff catchers
Blocker/removal effect

Dissect each node/action separately and perhaps segment each study session whether it be macro/micro analysis but don't get bogged down w/ the minutae of the solver output at first.

I'd do this before looking at MDA lines but could also integrate node locks into some study sessions. And make sure you boil all that information down into concise notes & perhaps utilize some study techniques like the prolonged/spaced repetition https://twitter.com/SahilBloom/statu...JdnzKUOxA&s=19

Another good tip is to give names to the numerous nuances/concepts of any given equilibria (like zero equity bluffs OTT). At first it can seem like a mountain, but break it down into mounds and be consistent.. Doesn't have to be marathon study sessions.

Don't get me wrong, and I know this might be met with resistance, but I think that if you're unable to beat 10nl online, a bunch of solo sessions in a solver will usually end up doing the opposite of helping you.

Not saying they're not helpful, but there are two approaches:

Either you want to start crushing asap (=attack capped ranges, and exploit all the painfully blatant leaks people at 10nl have) and move up while studying on the side and most importantly understanding and being able to rationalize optimal lines with your solver.

OR you throw a bunch of hard to interpret data at yourself and give yourself the almost impossible task to memorize/simplify closest to GTO strat and end up using all that brain space and time to maybe become an (after rake), very marginal winner.

Unless you're some savant, without guidance and plenty of time, this basically always ends up with people implementing a half arsed strategy which will do them more harm than good.

Look at showdowns in your DB, it's the most valuable way to start understanding what makes your opponents tick and try to do some pool analysis on basic stats (how often does the population 3b, fold their blinds, folds to check raises, stuff like that) and see how much they're actually diverting from GTO and what you do to counter that.

There are plenty of good channels on youtube that explain simple GTO principles, they will give you some guidelines what to look for.

I think GTO Wizard is a better way to first get acquainted with GTO strategies honestly.
