It's part of a GTO strategy, but it doesn't add a significant amount of EV which is why it isn't talked about much.
But I guess if you studied it you would have an edge against people like me. I hate it when people cold call my 3bets IP lol it puts me on tilt when I don't know much about the player or their ranges, whether they're a fish or reg cold calling.
I also struggle in this node.

imo the universal range for non whales cc a 3b is smt like 88-JJ, AQ, suited bw.
It's not terrible to play against, the most annoying thing is getting it 3way when pfr calls bc awkward spr + reduced eq

Only from the BU facing a 3bet and 150+ BB deep.
Never from other positions, and never at 100BB or lower and/or facing a 4bet.
