Expectation/Goal at a certain limit. Expectation/Goal at a certain limit.

Hi Guys~~ So there's a 2/5 NL hold'em game at my local casino.
I've played online poker and bm casino and have seen plenty of felt but still have plenty to improve.
I am wondering... for players who go to bm casinos.... Is there a certain amount of money you try to break? at these blinds?
How much money would you expect to make assuming the players are poor to decent?
I've gone several times and I'm struggling to break more than $50 bucks~ kinda sucks when you're sitting for several hours and unbelievably slow or boring~~

Love to hear your opinion
Eddy

I would say anything between losing 50 and winning 50 would be considered breaking even/put down to varience. I would be aiming in a 3-4 session for about $150 though it really depends on the level of the play. You say its boring so I assume its the money, rather than the fun aspect youre interested in. If that is the case, the number you are happy with is really a personal one but as I say, $50 to me for 3 hours at 2/5 is like breaking even

He's asking for expectation, not what you do on a good night. Unless you're actually doing 10bb/hr long term at 2/5, which is fairly remarkable.

OP, better to just try and beat the limit for whatever you can at first, and include tokes and rake as part of your costs. 4bb/hour isn't unrealisitic to get to as those games play fairly badly - but if you're consistently winning at that kind of level and have the apporpriate bankroll, you'd be better off moving up anyway.

Thanks everybody for answering... I didn't see it was moved. The reason why I originally added this to the BM is that it's way different BM than online *obviously.
I like your answer triant~ 250 sounds like a nice number (the max buy in was 1000) ~150 would be ok too.
The reason why I asked this is, when I get busted it really defeats all my grinding efforts. I know you can call it a bad beat or whatever~ but sometimes I feel it's almost not worth it~ I had a guy call me with K4 offsuit and catch the boat on the river *beating my straight...
With not many hands per hour... well: it's hard to really beat your bad beats.....

These kind of questions are always are rather pointless. Bad, average, good and excellant players will all have different answers. The real question Eddy is "how good are you and what can you expect to make". You say the players are poor but you may be the poorest (not saying you are because I don't know). But really it is like asking how long is a piece of string
