correct play with AJs 10BB SNG correct play with AJs 10BB SNG

Hi guys,

I recently had AJs UTG, blinds in a SnG were 50 - 100, 5 players left.

The player left had 7 BB, Button had biggest stack, SB similar to me, BB smaller.

I pushed and ran into Aces (held by Button).

I am not 100% sure, if that was the correct play.

This is my first post, not sure, if this is the right forum to post this.

Many thanks ahead!

There’s a lot of variables that will change your opening range but I think this is a good starting point. Jamming most but opening 2bb with KJo, KJs, QQ+

Get/subscribe to a tool like ICMizer. The effects of the payout jumps (or the money bubble) when there are only a few players left and they each have different stack sizes can radically alter the correct shoving ranges. Generally speaking, however, AJs is going to be a standard open jam with 5 players left in a tourney, if the average stack is <20bb.

Thx so much for your helpful input. However, I am still playing quite low levels atm, I used to play much more and higher about 10 years ago, when tables were "easier". Slowly getting back into it, and a bit surprised how much more theory re GTO etc. pp. is involved nowadays - I know that this is not all new concepts but far more players, even on lower levels, seem to have much more knowledge...

Anyway, I love this game, and also your help. Thank you!
