beating the rake beating the rake

it seems like from some articles i read on here that i learned i do not only have to battle with my opponents but beat the rake as well. What are some tips on how to do that? Prepare for the enemy and know its moves and they will be beaten.(I am saying the quote wrong but you get the point its from some old book-mayeb the art of war?) Anyways, I also read that only 7 percent ofpeople make in this game profitably on one article below. Well, isnt that just like anything in life? lol if that were the case wouldnt everyone play this game or everyone do real estate, trade stocks or be a billionaire like bill gates?. I see my advantage is I AM WILLING TO LEARN. I knwo i am not good and will never be because what is good in this game anyways? I want to be consistent and constantly improving. I want to stay in my limits but expand my limits on a solid foundation. When iplay this game I shouldnt have to be worried about the rake. So i want to prepare for it so it can be beaten. It seems that the people who fail to beat the rake...are the people who fail to plan for the rake. Right or wrong? Everyone started somewhere through the same circumstances as everyone else and if they can beat the rake.so can I. So tell me how do I beat it? I shouldnt have to fight the casino lol

Simple. Be better than the rake.

Don't make it harder than it needs to be.

Be a winning player, and the rest'll take care of itself.

whatever the rake is would be your losing rate if you were equal to the other players. You have to have enough of an edge to overcome the built in lossrate(word?) to be a break even player. Anything else is gravy
