Short Stacks on RPM/Merge Short Stacks on RPM/Merge

Seth,
I recently created an account on merge/rpm. I love the site but the fact is that it allows people to buy in for 20bbs and rathole. If you have been following the online poker landscape you will notice that the majority of sites are phasing in new changes to buy in structures that effectively make short stack/ratholing a thing of the past. FTP made their standard buy ins 35bb min- 100bb max. I think you guys should really think about making a similar change to remain competitive in the market.

+1 would really like to see 35 bb min as a standard.

This is the #1 complaint I've had in my inbox in the past week, and I've already forwarded it to the development team for review. Thank you

Seth, I've heard that Merge will get a new software very soon. Is that true?

Sorry for derailing the thread

Merge does major software updates a few times per year. There's a Mac client coming out; it should be out at the end of April, into early May. We'll be mailing out the players and letting everybody know when that's happening.

20bb is bad enough but on MERGE at HU tables they can buy in for 12bb. Yeah i didnt type that wrong - they can buy in for 12 fcn bb's. Crazy

Even though I hate 35BB stacks, they are still a lot better than 20BB stacks. Hopefully soon they will up the BI minimum!

Haven't had too many problems with SS just yet. They all seem to play horribly, but i would definitely encourage raising the buy-in minimum.

20bb stack players are awful and I don't want to see the minbuyin raised to 35bb, but rather see a limit of 2 per table (not that that would ever happen).
