Promo tournies(VIP tournaments, 125 seats to 125k, etc) should be turbos.

Everyone wants their equity, but not everyone wants to waste a ton of time they might not be otherwise playing to get it.

The faster the structure the better.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box / Improvement Thread

Everyday I see numerous MTT's that have 0 entrants. How many days of this does it take for them to be removed from the tournament schedule? Merge obviously is more worried about counting their money then keeping an eye on what tournaments work and which ones dont. I feel like staying up all night and day so I can make a list of them. But thats not my job, so whos is it?

+1

Playing a free tournament for an hour to win $5 seems comical.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box / Improvement Thread

Do you guys know what a rebuy/addon tournament is? I was robbed today in one. I was no longer able to rebuy with 3 minutes to go in the rebuy period and was eliminated without the option to rebuy BEFORE the addon period. Thanks for robbing me yet again RPM. I have never been treated fairly on this site and cannot wait to get my money off

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box / Improvement Thread

1. The main lobby should show my current cash balance AND VIP points balance at the same time. It's ******ed to have to choose between one or the other.

2. Please make the VIP points ledger update in real time. It is stupid that I have to leave all my tables, close the client, then re-open it just to find out how many VIP points I've earned to date. Maybe a refresh button?

3. The client still freezes for me and others. Maybe less than before the upgrade, but still way too often. It's 2012 ffs, it should never freeze at all.

4. Fix the freaking rebuy tournaments! Make sure an auto add-on option is added as well.

5. I was in a hand where I inadvertantly clicked the fold button where I had the option to check, but I actually wanted to raise. A pop-up basically asked me if I wanted to fold or check. Please change it so the pop-up doesn't force me to only check or fold. The pop-up should say "are you sure you want to fold?" with an option of yes or no, and the no option should just return me back to all the action choices I originally had.

6. If I sit down at a table it'll auto sticky the table in the lobby, but sometimes the table gets unstickied even if I'm still playing there. It seems to happen when players start leaving the table en masse.

7. Let me withdraw via WU please.

8. Let us cash tournament tickets in for actual cash please.

9. Fix the limit rake schedule.

I am a lock poker refugee and would like to say thank you to rpm c.s. department. They responded in a timely fashion and were extremely helpful and efficient. So refreshing to see that a poker site still cares about its players. Thx again and I want to also give a big f u to anybody affiliated with lock poker. Have a good night.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box / Improvement Thread

In mtts the final table should look different than rest imo. Really liked how before it changed colors and said final table. It comes in handy when multi tabling

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box / Improvement Thread

Also, following up on juicestain's post:

It would be nice if, instead of having all tables set to one theme, we could use separate themes. This would be great for identifying table types while playing. If I've got tournaments and SNG's going at once, it would be awesome to be able to distinguish them immediately just by a table color that is user-defined.

And please, for the love of God, could you get rid of the bounty SNG theme backgrounds. I would much prefer to be able to do the above to mark my bounty tables, as opposed to having to look at the same atrocious western theme all the time. Not only is it ugly, but it's hard to read bet and pot sizes when the font is white and the table is light gray. I'm assuming bad-beat jackpot table players feel the same way.

more info. on #6: i realized that it isn't auto-stickying, the chip that gets placed next to the game in the lobby disappears. so, i sit at the table, chip shows up, a little while later while i'm still playing at the table the chip disappears and is no longer stickied in my lobby

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box / Improvement Thread

Is everything ok with the RNG ? Why did u change it ? I played more then 10 000 sngs before the update to 6.0. After the update im running 83 buy ins BELOW EV.
I have account on few other networks with not less then 4k sngs played and i newer ever seen things like this.
The problem is that i understand the variance and i play less swingy sngs ( non turbo, imagine if i played turbo ) but what is happening is far away from normal. IMO don't waste ur cash they have changed in complete crooks

it never ceases to amaze me how many people think that when you lose quickly it somehow benefits the site

newsflash: sites make money from rake, not player losses. in a perfect world, literally every player would be 100% break-even against each other, thereby giving 100% of all deposits to the site via rake over time

if we get heads up and both bought in for $100, and you get stacked as we go AIPF KK vs. AA, I win $197 and the site makes $3, and nothing more unless you reload and keep playing

if we play a hundred hands where the average pot is say $20 and neither one of us goes broke in the process, the site makes way more than $3 dollars. if there's any incentive to rig a deal, it would be so that neither one of us ever go broke, just keep shifting money back and forth until the rake drains the both of us

that is exactly what is happening to me.
All im saying im winning player over huge sample but 83 buy ins below EV and counting it's not normal.
I've newer seen in my life someone to be 83 buy ins below EV on normal sit n go's not talking about turbo or super turbo ( where that is absolutely normal there)...any advice anyone.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box / Improvement Thread

Four suggestions that would make life better on Merge:

1) Include Tournament Summaries with our Hand Histories! After every time I finish a session I have to go into PokerTracker and manually enter results for a lot of SNG's and all MTT's. This is a severe PITA and could easily be remedied by PokerTracker if Merge were to include these summaries.

2) Not a huge deal, but the Filters Tab should always remember the settings I left on my previous session (sometimes they do and sometimes they don't -- maybe it's an update issue?). In any case, the game-type and filters tabs need to be more intuitive to use. I suggest that instead of having Cash, SNG, Tourney, Play Money, etc. clustered under the little bar code tab, let each be in their own tab on the lobby -- you've got plenty of room along this tab to do it. This would allow the user to simply click Cash once (as it is now I have to click once to open the dialogue, click Cash, and then click once more to close it).

3) It would be great if the Real Money Ledger didn't show me every single buy-in or winning from the last month (or whatever ridiculous length of time is now the default setting). It takes forever for this page to load. Maybe if you set the default to only show the current day's ledger it would move a little faster. This is how the old Player Admin page worked, and the new system is much harder to navigate. The best way to do it, IMO, is to have a drop-down box for Month, one for Date, and one (God, this would be special) for filtering by table or tournament ID. This would streamline the Ledger immensely.

4) I've mentioned it in this thread before, but I'll mention it again, because I think it's of utmost importance. The SNG Leaderboard needs to be refined. Yes, high-volume grinders need to be rewarded, but the way to keep the Poker Eco-System healthy is by stocking the pond with fish, not sharks. Currently you reward only the highest-volume players and the "Streakers." The fish get nothing unless they happen to win 6 or 8 SNG's in a row, which is extremely rare.

I suggest a two-fold leaderboard system that would make everyone happy. Keep the high-volume leaderboard as it is, only take away the streaker multiplier. And instead of having a streaker bonus, use this money pool to restock your pond! The best way I can see of doing this is to have a separate leaderboard which awards prizes to the players who have (by whatever formula) placed highest over a certain number of games, maybe 20. This would be a much more achievable goal for random players, and would keep them playing if they think they're going to bink the top 20. And where does that prize money go? Right back into the community, keeping both your grinders and your fishes happy.

I shouldn't need to tell you that once Lock gets their **** together or U.S. regulation comes you're going to have trouble keeping the mass-multi-tabling SNG grinders on your site. Your rake is high and your structures are lackluster. But if the eco-system is healthy many players will stay.

no no no you stated "IMO don't waste ur cash they have changed [the RNG] in complete crooks"

they didn't magically start making you lose so they could take your money

regardless, i suggest you do one of two things: 1) take your whining to the Rigged Thread in the Zoo or 2) or go to the Probability Forum in General Gambling where someone will drop some knowledge on you about the fact that being massively below EV is effectively meaningless in the grand scheme of things

i've run as bad as that if not worse i'm sure at some point in all the time i've played online poker. it can happen, will happen, and will happen again. just deal with it and make sure you're not tilting

but you did indeed imply what my post responded to with regards to these "crooks" who "changed the RNG" and i can just as well tell you it is blatantly false because i played seamlessly through the upgrade and my run-bads and run-goods are all relatively the same as they were before the upgrade

well put, havent made near as much post upgrade as before but i know this is because of normal variance and i will start making good money again soon, just takes time and not a lot of tilting

Is there any chance of adding a few more decent gtd mtts at european friendly times?

A few more gtd turbo rebuys at around 12-2pm ET for example would be nice.
