You can turn off the "All-in" button by going to
"Settings" > click on the "Game" tab > then check "Hide All-In Button."

Maybe placing a tiny gap between the slider and the incremental bet size arrows might help to reduce accidental all-ins, as well, when using these features.

To be clear, my list will probably expand, and will just be repeated every so often. I know I have no control and can only hope they cater to my and possibly others' needs.

I'm in no rush, and I'll appreciate any changes for the better that come my (our) way.

Speaking of traffic, they really should try to reduce lag and the amount of memory the client consumes. It's worse than Full Tilt was and that's saying something. I guess that's #9 on my list

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

I would love to be able to change time zones in the main lobby.

I would love to be able to open a tournament lobby from the table. This is a must!

I wish I could read my notes without a magnifying glass.

I wish that when I clicked on my notes that all the text was not automatically highlighted and therefore very easy to delete all my notes on a player.

I wish that the main lobby filters were more advanced.

It would be nice to be able to create custom table configurations besides the standard Tile and Cascade.

I hate all the pop-ups for tournaments. None of them are necessary.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

#10: Speaking of tiling, the tables shouldn't be "memorized" to one particular spot. It should just go to the nearest corner or section.

When I'm playing more than one table, but one happens to be HU or 3-way, I want that one closest to my eyes on my monitor with the others on the outer spots. I can't tile currently when this is the case, because the HU table typically goes off to whatever spot it was originally tiled into.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

I really think Merge needs to add some blind levels to their 6 player STs. Considering how ridiculously fast it is right now & how reg infested the games are I'm not even sure if better than 0% is sustainable at medium/high stakes. If top players can't get better than 0% then weaker players will likely go busto pretty fast & no longer be paying rake to the network. 500/1K blinds w/ 6K chips in play is pretty lol, but that's a regularity of the current structure.

Suggestions for blind levels:

50/100
60/120
80/160
100/200
130/260
175/350

Something like that would get the average stack sizes pretty close to the FTP structure. Even just adding level 2 & 3 would be a huge improvement over the current structure.

If they keep the structure I think they need to lower the rake. Something like $50+$1.50 instead of $50+$2 would be more reasonable. I think I'd just prefer a better structure w/ the same rake though.

Thanks,
Hub

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

Assuming 6 players, here's a comparison of the current Merge structure ST vs the FTP structure.

Blind Level: Merge avg stack vs FTP avg stack

1. 10bb vs 10bb
2. 5bb vs 7.5bb
3. 3.3bb vs 6bb
4. 2.5bb vs 5bb
5. 1bb vs 3.75bb
6. 0.7bb vs 3bb

As you can see, the differences are quite extreme. Top players at medium/high stakes generally sustain a 1-2% ROI. That's in a slower structure and games that are less reg infested. I think it's pretty clear something needs to be changed here.

I would suggest just copying the FTP structure exactly but considering the changes Merge made to their HU structure I assume they want the blinds to be different.

I know of players that were ST regs on FTP that won't even play the current Merge ST structure.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

MergeRegs 18,345 -$1 $39 -1% -$11,576 N/A N/A Global Alias 4/16/2011 12/31/2011 E6-6 G=H NoLim Spd=ST

Those stats are 6 man Merge ST stats post Black Friday from myself, my bro, Gramps, woosewooo, & youngjedi. All are winning ST players from FTP & are playing up to at least $100s on Merge. There's not 1 player I regard higher than Gramps in SNGs, while I've made more money than anyone besides jorj95 in single table SNGs since sharkscope started, including #2 in 5-6 seated super turbo in 2010, despite not playing them full time until later in the year. I've taught my bro everything I know. Woosewooo destroyed 9 man STs on FTP for 2% at an avg. stake of $227 over 34K+ games and I'm confident in his ability to adjust to the 6 man structure. youngjedi has his stats blocked but told me his ST ROI on FTP was between 1.5% & 2% at an average stake of $210, and I certainly believe him as I've played many games with him on both FTP & Stars. Because of variance it's true that our ROI could actually be +1% or higher. However, I don't have any reason to be confident that this is the case. Also, the sample contains games that were softer than they are now. More regs have emerged over time since Black Friday, while I can't think of 1 reg who has left $20+. The graph reflects this as it starts going up & then just goes down & down & down. Again, there's sample size issues where you can argue variance but I don't think it's something to ignore.

When we take out $20s & lower from the sample it gets even uglier:
mergeregs 12,559 -$1 $50 -2% -$13,976 N/A N/A Global Alias 4/16/2011 12/31/2011 E6-6 S>=30 G=H NoLim Spd=ST NormalFormat SNG

You can hide this button in settings. Removing the button would be an atrocius move by Merge considering it's an essential multi tabling tool for SNG players.

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

Please fix the bet size slider so clicking it at the far right doesn't make the bet all-in.

Please.

Clicking the slider should increase by a BB like on Stars and Tilt. Dragging the slider can be used to rapidly change the bet.

The current interface is very error prone. Unfortunately I know this from personal experience. 8(

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

Can we get the raise size buttons changed to 2X, 3X, and 4X, instead of 2X, 4X, and 8X? 8X is so useless, and 3X is the most useful but it's not there.

I'd really like to see a HU SNG lb on Merge. Something like FTP's lb would be great.

Software problems

Hey everybody

I'm happy to announce that me, and some of my friends, are joining RPM poker, on my recommendation

On a side note, I'd like to know if I can actually gain something from referring them?

On to the main topic. I have a few issues on RPM poker which has actually cost me a bit. Even though it was my own fault, I feel I should suggest fixing these things, as its tiny but important things, that most other rooms seem to have dealt with.

First. When I try to organize the list of tables, via anything, it gets completely jumbled up sometime later, and it no longer seem to follow the organize I wanted it to. Fx, if I want to organize by stakes, naturally I want some table sorting aswell. Not by the active on the table number, but by the table max. As it is now, I can either get one or the other, and still have it all messed up some secs later. On Fult Tilt fx this is standard, and it makes games much easier to find. Before you say: Well then go to Fult Tilt!! Please, if I wanted that I would have, I'm simply trying to help improve the site, or find a solution to my problem

Second: When I want to be, I usually highlight a portion of the number, and change it to what I want to bet. Fx: When it comes to be and the betting area says: Bet: 0.10. What i'd normally do, is I would mark the "10" part, but leave the "0." part, then type in the number I want. Because I usually does this very quickly, I lost a while pay-in once, and helped a fish not hang himself in another. Don't misunderstand me, I hold myself completely accountable, as it was my foolishness that brought it on me. However I do feel, that this could be changed, and from what I understand of coding, it wouldn't require much. (and I know a lot of the people I know, and play with, bet the same way)

Again I can not stress enough that I do not mean anything bad about this, and I'm happy to be part of the site, It is mearly suggestions for improvement, or questions that I would like help with, should a fix already exist

Regards
Sokar

Re: Software problems

I would recommend RunBetterPoker.com's MergeKeysBeta.. You will be able to use the middle scroll button on your mouse to choose your bet size.. you can now, but you have to have your arrow directly over the betting area.. It is also useful for folding.. I just press F to fold on the current window.

I've also had this trouble with the sorting.. It's only every once in a while.. like if I stack 6 windows.. it will act like there are 9 up there and make them all smaller than they should be.. and they will be in the wrong places..

I know that you can get some sort of bonus if you refer them through raketherake.com

Btw, you may want to re-tag your account if you didn't sign up through raketherake.com - I know that if you sign up before 6/1/2011 that you'll get rakeback, but I don't know if they can re-tag after that date if your account was made before 6/1/2011..

Re: RPM Poker Suggestion Box

I'd really like a warning sound when I have 10 seconds left to act or so. Every other site I've played on has this & I think it's absolutely essential for multitablers. It should be a different sound than the one that plays when it's your turn to act.

Seth, why still no extra security for logging in? suggestion was made 6 months ago. I see no reason why just a 3card combination or something can't be implemented quite soon, just a password isn't enough!
