For what it's worth, over $404k was paid out from the BBJ in November. Big money!

So I played cash for the first time today.

I found the action hard to tell what happened / who was acting / who hadn't acted / had the betting changed, etc.

I hate hate hate that at any given time you can have players be green highlighted, orange, bright white, pale yellow or any combination of those colors.

It defeats the point of having color indicators in the first place. To provide a simple visual cue about who is acting right now.

At major sites, what generally happens is you look to the time indicator to see who the action is on and scan counterclockwise to see what the action is.

Or you see what's around the pot or largest pile chips and scan clockwise for the flashing/or timebank running player.

On RPM,

Say UTG, BTN and BB see a flop then you have
$BBJ
$RAKE
$POT floating around the screen, and if BB checks then he's green and UTG bets he's orange, but then BTN calls, he's white then yellow and BB re-raises and then there is two oranges.

It's confusing.

A minor bug:

The area between [] and the text "FOLD/CALL/RAISE" isn't active.

So you if you mistakenly click in between the checkbox nothing happens.

Right now you have to double click the bet box for it to highlight it. Either make it so with one click it highlights the bet amount so you can change it, or make an option box to have it highlight the bet amount on the first click.

Also, when entering in bets under $1 after highlighting the box, you cant enter a decimal on the first keystrike, you have to either hit the decimal button twice, or enter 0.xx instead of .xx.

I bet $9 a few times into pots of $1 when i wanted to bet $.90 because of this and noticed quite a few people make crazy overbets on the flop that normally dont do stuff like that.

This is with the new 5.0 software
I noticed this is fixed now..good job

Agreed this is annoying.

1. cashier in lobby instead of website

2. if a bunch of people are on waiting lists for tables have it automatically create new tables and move these players there. There are always like 15 tables going at 25NL with 5-10 people on the waiting list. Just make new tables.

3. In mini mode, instead of just showing a number value when someone bets/posts blinds, make it show chips too. makes it easier to tell what is going on

4. fix the font in normal mode. It's unreadable and I have to multitable in mini mode.

why oh why does RPM steal focus since the 5.0 update? It's driving me insane. On the settings page, I have [ ] bring active game to front

it doesn't do it 100% of the time either...really makes multi-tabling impossible
12-19-2010 , 11:19 AM
also, why is my auto post blinds always ****ing checked? So annoying

The waiting lists have to improve so it seats people in a new table for sure. You can see in the lobby tables with 0/9 but waitlist 6-11 and it doesn't automatically start

Start a new table, it's what I do, and it fills up pretty quick when the waitlists are 5+

I've tried, but then someone seats, i don't want to play 2-4handed, and he leaves.

This was mentioned before.. there really isn't the player pool to support this other than at the nano stakes.

Seth.. any changes players can expect in 2011.. in terms of games, software, changes to vip.. anything of the sorts?

We just had a major software upgrade about a month ago. Merge is always working on new things, but I have no details to share at the moment. When I know, you'll know

We are expanding our Overdrive Club in 2011 to continue to reward our loyal players. There will be some good new stuff in there. Just keep your eyes peeled, we're always doing new things.

With finished tournaments... especially mtt's with a guarantee on them.. can you put either how long the mtt lasted... or what time it finished?

I've only played in rpm for one month, so I don't know if there have been rake races other than this fast lane promotion, but here's my sugestion:

being an european player, still playing my 2k hands a day on nl50 and 25 (many hands in 25 due to lack of nl50 tables) and starting after 15.00 eastern (earlier than that there aren't more than 1-2 tables per stake) i'm #10 in the fast lane leaderboard. That's about 6k vip points this month, which are only a 35$ bonus in the fast lane thingy (next cash increment is for 10k vip points).

Perhaps we could step out of the fast lane one month and do a standard rake race? not a big one due to low player pool of RPM, but still probably #10 deserves more than 50$. That way people would compete more with each other and strive to put in more hands, whereas for me hitting the next "lap" (10k points) in the fast lane is almost impossible: would either need to play nl100 (BBJ tables take extra rake = extra vip points) or play more than my current 5hours/day. Playing more tables isn't an option since I already 9-12 table and there are no more tables of nl50+25 combined than ~13.

What do you think Seth / guys?

regards

Thanks for your response here. I appreciate your input. However...

A large amount of our players on RPM are not opted in to the Fast Lane promotion. This is either because they have come through an affiliate with an exclusive rake chase, or they simply have not opted in.

Being number 10 on the rake chase leader board might be a little bit misleading. You're not competing against the other players, you're competing against yourself to see if you can do the volume it takes to finish a lap.

We think this rake race is excellent value. Unfortunately, you don't rake as much at lower limits as you do at higher limits, and that's where you're handcuffed. There's not much you can do about raking more other than a) move up limits, or b) put in more hours.

We are proud to offer tons of value back to our players, and we have had very positive feedback to our monthly fast lane promotion. If you're looking for more value, check out the rest of our promotions like the 50k50x, 500-5x, or Overdrive Club.

More chips with the add-on.

Don't let people late reg. after the add-on. As it is now.. the add-on is at the first break and then people can keep reg'ing after that because it hasn't been an hour yet. Have both happen at the same time, after one hour.

My suggestion:

All-In button: have the button write your stack's amount in the box, then you'd have to click the raise button to go all in. The way it currently works it's easy to missclick all your stack, specially when the tables are poppin' up while you are browsing internet, tables are stacked on top of each other or they are tiled but a little bit over each other.

this is good suggestion...

just so you know, you can remove it from the table and just scroll the bet slider to the right when you want to shove
