The RPM software is slightly buggy but I typically play 9-18 tables without too much trouble. The main glitch/bug I get is kind of hard for me to explain but I'll give it a try. Occasionally while playing I'll have a table pop up prompting an action but the table will be showing info (hole cards, board, player stack/name) from a different table but it looks weird/off so it's obvious that you're not seeing the correct info on the table.
I actually switched from stacking my tables to cascading because of this issue. All I have to do to 'fix' the glitch is click the button on the top right of the table and re-cascade the tables and then it will be showing the correct information.
Besides that, I'm pretty happy with the software. HEM tracking and HUD does work, although there was an issue a while ago where HEM would miss a few hands during importing which will mess up your results slightly. This may have been fixed, I haven't updated HEM in about 2-3 weeks so I'm not sure. If you use PT3 you're in luck, as it does not have this issue for some reason.
I use HEM to take notes and it works pretty smoothly. The note taking in the client isn't too bad and I would actually use it if I played less tables (typing notes in the client steals focus from the table you are currently on and brings it to the table you are typing at) because you have the ability to mark a player with a 'fish' tag which helps with table selecting and you will also be able to see what tables/limits he is playing in the lobby.
If you do decide to play at RPM, look in the software forum and you'll find a "Table-Ninja" like software for RPM that greatly helps with multi-tabling.
