New SnG's? New SnG's?

04-20-2011 , 09:06 AM
Was scrolling through the SnG tab and it looks like they added a bunch of 27/45/90 man tournies in the $1-$10 range. This is a cool welcome change with the plethora of people that are sure to come streaming in.

I heard someone else mention this, I personally didn't see them. Are they still there?

Just curious and I'm sure with the increase in traffic they will likely add games and stuff if there is enough requests for them.

Yea they were they when I was playing earlier. Noticed they started at $2 and up.

Also noticed a donk at my plo8 cash table won a 1k freeroll. That may be an option to build a roll but I didn't see any in the lobby. Just seen the $200 freeroll. Any info when the 1k runs??

Saw them finally, I had my filter set previously, and I guess I had to turn it off even though there wasn't a setting previously

Just another example of how most skins on Merge listen to player feedback.

I've been on the SNG Lobby for a good portion of the day, and I notice that these are filling slowly. Seems to be tough to fill these on sites with under 10,000 players. Hopefully increased player traffic will get people playing them. RPM seems to have a better payout structure (IMO) than FT or PS.

Nice! I had been hoping for some mtt sngs. Traffic seems to be picking up too.

Traffic is DEFINITELY picking up guys. They are now #16 on the Pokerscout Network list, which means they have jumped 6 spots since Black Friday. From the posts on here and in the other Merge Threads, its only going to continue. I see lots and lots of posts were people are requesting Rakeback and asking about the best ways to deposit.

With the software the best available, best support at skins like RPM, the best traffic, and IMO the best promo's there is no reason to think that Merge will not quickly become the #1 Network in the US.

Also factor in the issues the issues that will keep other rooms from truly competing ATM.
Cake has had issues with their software and with Cashouts for a while. They also do not accept residents of KY or WA. Bodog does not offer RB and you can only play 4 tables at a time. True Poker/Doyles has issues with their software(though supposedly they are launching new software) and they have the farthest to go to catch Merge. I'm not to sure what the negatives would actually be with Everleaf and I'm kinda surprised it hasn't been growing as quickly as some of the other rooms.

I would like to suggest that these are changed to turbos. I think they would fill up more frequently.

Any suggestions that you have should go into the suggestion thread that's stickied at the top of the forum

Up to #12 now. 8k players online now. 8k isn't many, but it may actually be playable at this point. I'd join in, but I'm kind of waiting for more news on the FTP cashouts.

Do they have 6max or 9max turbos or superturbos at merge?

Thats what I used to play and am thinking about depositing, but was wondering at around the $10 level, how many tables I can realistically get going at once?

Also, can you "stack" tables (one on top of the other) like you can at other sites? Or do you have to tile them out

Without waiting a long time you'll only get like 2 SNGs of a given structure. Virtually nothing is running above $36.

So it's playable now, but nobody can make any significant amount of money right now except very good cash players.

I'm really surprised you say that. I'm playing the superturbos and I'm playing the $20's, $36's, and $52....I played 163 today and didn't even try hard. There is plenty of play out there.

I don't see any SNGs over $36 running. But I do see that a handful finished earlier, so I believe you! Maybe late evening is the wrong time. I hope my fliters aren't set wrong...

Guys, question on player pool:

I understand that all merge skins share cash players. Is this also true for SNGs? I am guessing not because each skin has their own SNG games? So like, player pool for RPM sngs will be way smaller than if you play cash tables?
05-01-2011 , 07:33 AM
Are all 45's turbos now?
05-01-2011 , 01:30 PM
I think it's safe to say a lot of super turbos load everyday...

Can anyone confirm if this is true? There are no 10 or 6 player SNGs over $22 running. And with 6-max there's only 4 total running of all levels combined. It's weird, 6000 players online and nobody is playing turbo SNGs.

I asked RPMSeth in another thread and here is what he said.

BUT ... no one plays turbo SNGs?? Looks like no 45-man for me in a while

I think it is due to misdesignation in the Lobby. All of them have the white/red "Turbo T", but if you double click and look at the structure, some of them have 5 min levels, so have 10.

Just another issue with the messy, disorganized lobby.

yes this is very annoying. the ones with 10 min levels don't have antes like the 5 min ones do.

Please make all 45's 5 min levels with antes Merge!!!
05-02-2011 , 04:59 PM
Personally I disagree. I prefer 10' with no antes. I feel skill is more rewarded.

At any rate, no reason not to have both, but please label them correctly.

What would really be nice are some $5.50 and $11 , 18 and 27s, 10', no ante.
