seriously opting in every month is so ridiculous.

I agree it is rather annoying, but, it does only take a couple minutes or so. I can see though that if they take out the opt-in requirements it can cause the promotions to be weaker due to more players participating. Chances are the site would not be able to afford the promos as they are if it was automatically given to all players. Be careful what you wish for.

This probably sounds sycophantic to some, but I'd be willing to opt-in weekly for these promos. Of course, a button would be easier, but maybe that's the point, as Gunth mentioned.

This. It's not that hard, and I'd rather keep the sweet promos.

This is tantamount to swindling casual and recreational players who are too lazy/stupid to look for themselves. I think its unethical no matter what I personally want.

But it's not like the promotion section is hidden to any player that would care.

The intent is to favor a type of player over another player and has little to do with how much rake you contribute or how skilled you are at poker.

I fail to see how a pokersite favoring the more serious player is a bad thing.

I don't have much of a problem opting in every month.. just wish I only had to send one email instead of 8

Obviously it works in the same way companies hope rebates work. They give out good deals, but hope that most people screw them up, so they don't have to cut into their profit as much. Not that I don't appreciate free money, but I think it's petty, cheap, and cheesy to act like you're giving out sweet promos but making it a pain in the ass to activate them in an effort to get off on a technicality. Notice that now the opt-ins reset every month, and they specifically note that opting in late won't get you paid promos retroactively.

It's dumb, but not if you're a company that's only interested in your bottom line.

At the very least, I'd like to be able to see which promos I'm opted in for or receive confirmation that I've opted into certain promos.

this is a silly statement...if i am a recreational player that plays 15 tournaments a week, what do i care about getting 2x points on wednesday? And I certainly dont put in enough volume for any of the other offers. I cant say I would feel swindled, lol

Sorry if this has been answered for other months prior. Reading through the daily promotions I came across the Turbocharged Thursday promo and noticed that you didn't need to email to opt in. Is this a typo or is this the only one of the promotions that you don't need to email to opt in. Logic would suggest they simply forgot to write email with subject TURBOCHARGED THURSDAY - OPT IN, but who knows. Clarification would be extremely appreciated.

I asked the same question last month... You do not have to opt in for turbo charged Thursday

This would be very nice. Plus it would probably save some customer service time in the long run.
