I got a VISA card, for the sole purpose of playing on Merge/RPM. The only place I've ever used this card was through the RPM skin.

I recently had two tickets bought on Korean airlines for almost 4k and have disputed it with my CC company. They are taking it from there. I'm sure everything will be okay.

I wanted to alert the community, as I'm not sure of the technical details of how this could have happened, but the only assumption I can make is one of the credit card processors was hacked (or whoever stores the credit card information, RPM, merge???).

Please check your credit cards folks and RPM has any idea on this please let me us know. My credit card is secured at my house and no I don't have any relatives that's trying to travel to Korea.

Did you have a small charge prior to that, as a test run for the fraudsters? I heard this was common. I have been checking my card used daily so I can hopefully catch the "test charge" and hold the card with my bank if need be.

At this point I have no reason to trust any of these US sites.

Just a heads up most of these incidents are due to you having malware on your computers. Even if you have up to date anti virus and your running programs like spybot search and destroy you can still be at risk.

Good point Brickhead -- I do use other CCs on this machine and haven't had any fraud charges on those... yet anyways.. I do have AVG, spybot and some other malware stuff installed. While I'm not immune to malware, I'm also in IT and so I get what you're saying, but hopefully this is not the case on this machine.

But I will do my due diligence when I get home and rescan, run all the checks, etc. when I get home.

This particular issue has been brought to the attention of Merge Gaming as a matter of priority. If anyone else has a charge like this please don't hesitate to PM me directly so that it can be investigated immediately.

Big thread about CC fraud across the merge network, in internet poker. It has happened on a bunch of the skins. They hit me too. :-(

Every time I read one of these threads it really makes me nervous and hesitant as to sending a copy of front and back of my CC to Merge.

With that extremely important PM (why not just give people the email address in the post instead of making me PM you so you can redirect me to the email address?)

Anyway! So I did that and of course it's been several days and no word from them.

So after getting the run around.... is there another way we can put funds on this wonderful site? Instead of using my Visa, do prepaids work? I tried to do some research on it but got mixed results/views. The other two payment options available on site are not for me.

So, do prepaids work? If so, is there one card that works better than others etc?

Cute part about this? Ive only used that specific card on RPM. Nowhere else online or off. They were the only ones with the information.
