Did you end up making a blog on chess.com somewhere?

Have you still been playing at all?

I started playing some the past couple weeks and have been having a lot of fun. I played a bit in elementary school, then a lot of chess variants online back in middle/high school in the uschesslive days. So I know how all the pieces move and the super basic tactics but not much more than that. I've never used any educational content books/videos, just trial and error so I'm sure there's some bad habits.

Not sure how to really work on getting better, just play longer 10-15+ min games and review the games after with the computer and do puzzles every day? I seem to be ~1500 lichess.

I'm not sure reviewing with a computer is beneficial for getting better unless you at least actively think about positions on your own first or after or somewhere along the line.

You're going to see the computer suggest big mistakes and many of them will not be mistakes for players of your level, or even higher. Some will, some won't, and you likely have no idea how to tell which from which. This is a major struggle when looking at computer lines and not necessarily understanding them. But, still, if you have specific questions like "in this position it seems like I'm winning and then 5 moves later I'm losing but I don't see a blunder, wtf happened?" and carefully think through different suggestions from the computer, it can be very helpful.

But, yes, 10-15 minute games is going to likely be a lot more helpful than just blitz, or especially bullet. I'd wager bullet would do basically nothing for your general chess improvement at the moment. I've heard various arguments supporting bullet but they all seem to rely on specific situations (the most compelling one is that you literally are Hikaru Nakamura or Alireza Firouja).
