QuantumCage was posting about this on his 2700 thread, but I thought it might be good to start a new topic so we don't derail that one too much.

QuantumCage and YouKnowWho are both playing in this event, which is pretty exciting. Lots of strong players. Here is a link to the player list.

Round 2 is complete now, with QuantumCage at 2/2 and YKW with 1/2. In Round 3, Quantum is playing white on board 2 against GM Jaan Ehlvest, and YKW is playing white against a 2099.

I'm also pulling for GM Sam Shankland in this tournament, I like seeing him do well. He's played a couple of European events lately and I wouldn't be surprised to see him over 2600 FIDE in the near future, he's 2581 right now.

I myself prefer posting all my ramblings to that thread. There would be to many different threads otherwise. And it is easier to follow the progress. Who is youknowwho? Do not say Voldemort.

I drew too. Wow I suck. But he seemed to play pretty good. Tomorrow 1.a3 or something like that.

This two step guide to winning chess might help:
1) Do not make bad moves
2) Make good moves

3) Do not lose on time
4) Make the other guy lose on time

Sometimes it feels like 2600 in blitz is all about this.
