FWIW (not much) I play the following and am quite happy with it:
1. d4
I pretty much play the main lines...Qc2 nimzo, classical in KID, Nf3 vs QGA, and vs QGD I play Bg5, but am considering switching to systems with Bf4. Against the slav/semi-slav I basically play the main lines, including allowing things like the Moscow, which I find quite interesting.
1...Nf6 vs e4
Hard for me to explain quite why I like the Alekhine's...I find it logical and find that most players at my level don't really know what they're doing against it.
KID vs d4
KID is probably my favorite opening in all of chess...
...e5 vs c4
I, for no good reason, don't really believe in the English, and play very classically against it, contrary to the rest of my black repertoire
I'm actually having a hard time making a decision vs 1. Nf3, I feel I can get tricked into playing stuff I normally don't play...right now though I'm playing Nc6, as this fits in well for me against everything except 2. d4 (I've never played the Chigorin). I may switch to 1...Nf6, but this messes me up right now against 2.c4, as I normally play a reversed grand prix type thing after the normal move order c4, e5, nc3, nc6, all normal move 3, f5

Why wouldn't you just play a King's Indian Defense after 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. c4?

Dynasty is probably right. Kind of strange, one of the greatest things about the KID is you can basically play it against all non e4 openings.

he says he "doesn't believe in the English" and thinks he should be able to refute it by direct means, so maybe he feels there should be something similarly direct against an English with a 1. Nf3 move order.
