Clearly the players are in the 'feeling out' stage. Which is pretty normal for a world championship match. Unfortunately there are only 10 games left.

Anand looks uncomfortable, don't have a baseline on how he usually looks during the game though so he could always be like that

They have got to be kidding. Who thought it would be a good idea to continuously interrupt the fkn World Championship match with random art discussions?

Obviously there are going to be commercials. One can't really complain about those, but this right now??? Jesus.

The chess.com feed is quite amazing as well. GM Magesh is commenting via webcam from home and apparently does not have any light sources except for a constantly flickering lamp/strobo light in the background

Anand came close today to a win. I don't know if 10.d6 is a theoretical line or if it's better than the game, but the computer recommends it.

Also, the computer says that 34. d7 is a draw from what I gathered on brief analysis.

Other than that, nothing was going on.

when this obviously goes to 12 consecutive draws and tiebreaks, it isn't an auto-anand win, right? iirc gelfand isn't a huge fish at rapid

No not at all, I doubt it will go go 12 draws though - I think Anand was fairly close yesterday already. Art videos on the live stream again, yoo hoo. Dirk Jan promised they won't send them at critical junctures, which I guess is another way of saying we'll be seeing plenty of them today as well

LOL, i just tuned in and realized that, if this would be the first time for me and I didn't already know about this art ****, I would probably be damn sure that I'm either on the wrong stream or there's an error on their end.

I'm still not entirely sure whether it's stupidity or just outright audacity that made them botch the official coverage of the most important chess match since 2010.

Anand is making drawfaces at Gelfand now, liking my prediction

edit: god damn gelfand, ruined it by turning down the draw offer. Understandable from a psychological warfare point though, not willing to let Anand be the boss
