I stumbled upon the following endgame yesterday. It is not too easy, but very thematic.
Below, I give three hints. They are cumulative, so do not look at hint no. 2 unless you can answer hint no. 1.
Spoiler:
Hint 1:
Spoiler:
Calculate if the direct approach works.
Hint 2:
Spoiler:
What would White do if it were his move?
Hint 3:
Spoiler:
Can you achieve this position with White to move? Which squares correspond?

Yes. Black dot means Black to move. That's also why I have flipped the board.

Spoiler:
1... b3 2. Kc3 (2. e5 fxe5 3. f6 (3. Kc3 Kd5 4. Kxb3 e4 5. Kc3 Ke5-+) 3... Kd6 4.
Kc3 Ke6 5. Kxb3 Kxf6-+) 2... b2 3. Kxb2 Kd4 4. Kb3 Kxe4 5. Kc4 Kxf5 6. Kb5 Kg4 7.
Kxa5 f5 8. Kb6 f4 9. a5 f3 10. a6 f2 11. a7 f1=Q 12. a8=Q *
My guess. I'm not sure if the final position can be won.
edit:
Spoiler:
I suck. My final position is definitely drawn. The hints would have shown me that I was wrong before I posted

Yes, that is it...
Spoiler:
...except that in your winning line, 7... Kb4 with Ka3 etc. is a lot quicker, though of course 7... b2 wins easily too.
