4-4 after some sick moments, I managed to equalize twice in the tiebreakers after losing the first game. Hack had to go, we'll play the next 2 games at 6pm gmt thursday. Will be better prepared against the mfing Dutch defense I hope

I won 9th and 10th was a draw so smilingbill - Hackdeath 5,5-4,5. Hackdeath is one tricky customer

we had some really good games a couple of days ago, but got owned today. lost the final set 1.5-0.5 to make the overall score 2-2 and 3.5-2.5 to smilingbill on tie break.

Congrats to Nezh, I think he wins the title now.

Don't know where I lost the first game, QxQ was obv terrible but don't think my alternative was that good either. Maybe I made bad weakening moves throughout the game and ended up paying for it. Second game I managed to get a better ending, after the dubious Nd5 but couldn't convert and was probs losing after a couple of bad moves but he was happy with a draw to win the match.

Wrong thread Hackdeath, but thanks anyway. First game was pretty equal until Queenswap indeed, which just threw the game. Second game you were clearly better after Nd5?!, and close to winning I thought at the end. During the game i wasnt sure Qe1 + Qf2 would hold, but it was the only chance against the combined threats of your c-pawn and K-side attack, basically just pinning your Queen to avoid a perpetual. It held up pretty well, even gets the Rybka stamp of approval. Let´s call it dynamic equality. Gg´s.

Anticlimactic indeed, but congratulations! With this victory, you earn an invitation to the 2011 2p2 Candidate's Tourney, to be held sometime early next year. The winner of that tourney will of course earn a shot at the forum title, currently held by Nezh.
