I liked your game, you played well overall.
Even in the opening I don't mind being down a pawn there because you got your pieces out, castled, and have open lines for your pieces while Black only got his bishop out.
Then later I liked the plan with Qa4, Be3, and doubling the rooks on the c file.
The only issue I have with the game is that you have 5 minutes for the entire game. Why not give yourself more time to reason things over, calculate stuff, predict your opponents plans, etc.
I would think it's easier to improve when you have more time to think.
It's akin to learning poker and right off the bat multitabling short handed turbo tables and having to make your decisions in a couple of seconds on each table. Work on your game at a 9 handed slow table, and just one table.
As far as the openings go, d4 vs e4 and such, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I say just play them both (or more of course), look up some moves and ideas in websites or books, and get a feel for all kinds of positions.
