Unless I'm using the calculator incorrectly (quite possible), if his opponent's average rating was 2720 (conservative, I would guess), that's a performance rating of 3095. A 2740 average gives a performance rating of 3115. That's simply staggering.

Wow. Well in November and December 2012 he had a 2848 rating, so I would assume he's gained roughly 24 ELO points off of that performance. Obviously there's some trailing off as the gap increases, but another year like this one could presumably put him in in the 2890's?
