hey guys, i'm on the hunt for different types of games.

post a game you played in any of these humanegories:

(1) won with a smothered mate (even if your opponent resigned before you could play it!)
(2) underpromoted to win (and just to be fancy, it has to be the best move )
(3) used a statemate trap to save the game, down a lot of material
(4) had a really weird material balance, like a queen for a rook + bishop + pawn
(5) sacrificed two exchanges or two pieces or three pawns and won (the sac can't be part of a combination to mate or win material)
(6) both sides promoted a pawn before the endgame or in an endgame with lots of material
(7) moved the same piece at least five times in a row in the middlegame and won (not including moving away from a direct threat)
(8) moved your king into the center (the square made by c3, c6, f3, and f6) in the opening or middlegame with queens on and won

serious beside-the-board games are preferred, but i will accept internet games too.

when we post a game in all 8, we win, but the posting can continue of course.

6) ?

4 queens on the board, 4 pawns, and 2 kings is pretty wacky.

Sacrificed 4 pawns in a 2+2 team match . Meant to annotate this game for 2+2 a while ago. I thought I was winning after the second pawn went, but by the fourth pawn I couldn't find a win despite my opponent's unwavering dedication to not developing any pieces. Eventually he took this philosophy too far with 25...h5? and 26...g5?? and I was able to win.

Has no smothered mate been posted yet? I'm surprised Here's one (first posted here). A smothered mate vs a human has been posted on 2+2 as well, e.g. by ohsnapzbrah.

I think Judit is referring to "on-top-of-the-board games".

No. 7: http://chess.tuxtown.net/game/view/i...04ccdb7b0a41c3

Starting from move 28, 9 moves in a row with the queen. Not sure if counts, let me know. A lot of mistakes in there, but I was 9 y.o so don't judge me!

I have more in this category, but no more than 9 moves

Someone who plays the two knights defense must have a #8 by surviving a fried liver attack.

Here's a #4:
