the theme of this years puzzles on chessbase.com is very nice: all are meant to be studies that computers cannot solve but are still comprehensible or solvable by humans.

They range from the incredibly simple

(draw)

to the incredible

(draw)

with one or two that seem incredibly difficult (I don't know the solution to this one):

(win)

Anyone else been trying to solve these?

Yes, I have spent considerable time on most of them. On a vacation from playing poker, but studying poker still. My breaks include extended periods of time of chess as always. I have solved them all but one, the one you call most difficult, and I spent many enjoyable hours doing so. I'll be watching some sports this weekend and solving a chess puzzle. I also agree that this years puzzles are top notch.

My friends all give me a hard time for all the chess books in my bathroom. Seems natural to me.
