I remember reading a Magnus article from the past, and Magnus didn't say how much Kasparov was getting paid, but he said that "it was a lot".
As far as Kasparov not being a fan of Nakamura's interest in poker. Why not play poker? It helps you think critically. It's good to have intellectual endeavors away from chess.. just not to be Too distracted by them.
