Haha the best is when both of you miss the same tactic over and over and over so it's actually only 1 blunder each

Speaking of blunders, still bitter I hung my queen:
in the middle of the board,
during a mating attack [forced mate in 16 but overwhelming regardless],
right after it was threatened by his knight,
which was easily exchanged off,
to a future US Junior Champion.

since I don't play tourneys anymore that's the closest I'll ever get to a 'big' chess tourney win.

Magnus -xxx (currently -556 on Bwin) has to be free money, right?

Naka just beat him a couple months ago - a best of 7 sets seems tough to win as an underdog though

-550 seems maybe a shade too much juice

I can't say I know how to bet on chess from the US. There is a pretty big gap between the value given for Carlsen and Naka on Bwin (-556 and +350)....I would like to wager around 5/1. If that's kosher for this thread. QTB.

Naka wouldn't bet on himself. Excluding conflicts of interest of course.

2-2. Naka reiterates feeling no pressure due to "nobody" expecting him to win. Tania asks Carlsen, says he has high standards for himself.

Hikaru seems determined to solve Carlsen's Berlin Defense, I don't understand how that can be great in a long match.

(Gm. 4) Hikaru's best Kasparov impersonation was seen on this move. Yasser suggested mouse slip, Leko assured him it wasn't, although he wasn't totally sure.

Hi 2+2 chess thread.

My company is developing a chess product. If any of you would kindly donate 15 minutes for a market research interview - I’ll return the favor with 50% off the product (coming out early 2021).

Thanks - let me know!

FWIW - I am a chess noob, but studying the game and playing a bunch as I develop this product.

Alright some action. Happy to tell you details after an interview. Not that it is some big surprise, but it corrupts the market research if the product is discussed first.

I’ll PM you nudes... err I mean PM some info in a sec.

Bip!'s thing seems quite legit and he didn't ask anything that seemed even remotely useful for scamming or phishing (except my email at the end).

I highly encourage anyone who is kind of intrigued to go ahead and spend the 10-20 minutes (it really depends on how much you talk - I talk a lot lol) talking with him.

I know the problem is only 5-10 people will see this post anyway, but 5-10 more interviews seems like it will actually make a difference for bip! and you'll likely find the interview kind of fun .
