Here's a great tournament. Have Magic: The Gathering, chess, and NLHE at the same time in 1 tournament.
Rules will be the following:
1. Chess: FIDE rules and FIDE time controls based on the time controls for the world championship.
2. Poker: WSOP rules for the $10,000 Main Event tournament
3. Magic: The Gathering will have the rules and format for Standard
That one would not get a high turnout.
There's a decent amount of poker players who came into poker from chess.
There are also quite a few of those who played Magic: The Gathering as kids and then switched over to poker since it was trendier/more profitable game to play as an adult.
Those two sets hardly intersect, so there won't be too many players who could play all 3 games.
