18 moves in against Karjakin, Kramnik already clearly winning again.

Damn, Fabi probably just ran out of gas. Well, they both did, but man he got really close there. I remember this somewhat happening two years ago, that Caruana did really well but probably didn't convert as many games as he could have, especially compared to Karjakin converting absolutely every sliver he came across in that tournament.

Fabi-Mamedyarov starting off pretty crazy for a game that could determine the whole thing

Shakh - Fabi has been quite crazy for a Catalan, PogChamp!

Coming home, checking results. How the **** does a Super GM blunder like I usually do? And with 30 seconds increment, too?

Been a tough couple of weeks for Aronian. :/

I liked Karjakin, but I really don't want the same match. Anyone else would be preferable. It is so tight. The last two rounds promise to be interesting.

I swear to god, if Karjakin wins again, Carlsen better prepares some crazy lines in the Evans Gambit or something similar.

Otherwise my viewing interest will most likely go way down as the match (and the Ruy draws) progresses.

5 players within half a point. Going to be an insane last couple of rounds.

I was considering a trip to London for the championship, and I still might go if Karjakin wins, but I will be a little less interested.

Well, the one redeeming factor would be that I'd have hardcore rooting interest. I really like Carlsen, but I wouldn't be opposed to a dethroning by someone like Caruana, Mamedyarov, or Aronian (). If Karjakin challenges, though, I'll be 100% Carlsen.

What a grease dumpster fire. Caruana is playing the best again and going to lose on tiebreaks again. Karjakin has some sort of horseshoe up his butt and everyone around him seems to crumble when stakes are high. Karjakin just isn't that good. Someone please overtake him.

I like Caruana, but I wonder if he's still not ready to become the challenger. Between missing numerous chances to win against Ding and getting mauled today by Karjakin in a Petrov, I just can't see Caruana having much of a chance against Carlson.

I'm not a huge Karjakin fan, but I gotta respect the comeback. I don't think it's luck. Or at least not all luck. I think he is just handling the pressure better.

I know he is not better than Magnus, but with this kind of mental toughness, he will make it very tough. He was pretty close last time. Probably going to be a nice money line available on him.

While I would also prefer another challenger, I think Karjakin probably gives Magnus the toughest match.

Pretty good. The "thug life" gimmick aside, this is a fun collection of interview snippets. #2 is a lot better.
