What I like is how Kramnik just mirrored it back at him (even if it is the mainline response). Of course Kramnik did win a game as white against Leko at Dortmund this year with the same opening.

It's actually a pretty good choice for a must win game. There's no danger of running up against a prepared variation. And it's guaranteed to be a long game.

Even Kasparov played 1.Nf3 against Karpov in the final game of one of the World Championship matches when he needed a win.
